It’s not that the user doesn’t have a supported app, every user at least has a browser installed on their device, but Reddit isn’t able to identify that as well. So is there an end to this fiasco? Well, there does exist a nifty workaround that shall help fix this issue. So without further ado, let’s check it out.

In order to resolve this issue, you will have to disable the “Open supported links” feature of Reddit. This way all the external links will automatically open in the browser window itself. So let’s put this fix to the test and check out the results.

  1. Head over to Settings > Apps > See All Apps.
  2. Then select the Reddit app from the list.Reddit No apps can perform this action
  3. After that, go to its open by Default section.
  4. Finally, disable the toggle next to Open Supported Links.

That’s it. This should fix the “No apps can perform this action” error when opening an external link on Reddit. As far as the official stance on this matter is concerned, the developers are yet to acknowledge this issue, let alone give out any ETA for the rollout of a fix.
