While it is a server-side issue, but some users were able to gain a temporary respite from this bug by uninstalling the app from their watch and then re-installing it. To do so, there are two different approaches that you could take:
- If Google Pay/Wallet is supported in your region, then you could directly re-install it from the Play Store [after uninstalling it from the app drawer].
